Hunter New England Health is seeking a passionate Registered Midwife to join the Maternity & Birthing Unit at John Hunter Hospital, supporting women through pregnancy and childbirth.

Key Duties & Core Responsibilities
In this critical role, your operational duties and key performance responsibilities will encompass:
- Provide compassionate,: Provide compassionate, evidence-based antenatal assessments and parent education.
- Manage intrapartum: Manage intrapartum labor support, fetal heart rate telemetry (CTG), and normal deliveries.
- Provide emergency: Provide emergency assistance during complex obstetric interventions.
- Deliver dedicated: Deliver dedicated postnatal education, lactation consultation, and neonatal screening.
Required Qualifications, Licenses & Experience
To be successful in this position at NSW Health, candidates are expected to satisfy the following essential selection criteria:
- Mandatory Qualification: Bachelor of Midwifery & AHPRA Registered Midwife.
- Relevant Experience: Minimum 2-5 Years of verified industry experience in Australia or recognized overseas equivalence.
- Current registration as a Midwife with AHPRA.
- Minimum 2 years of clinical midwifery experience across antenatal and birthing environments.
- Fetal Surveillance Education Program (FSEP) Level 3 certification.

- Competitive Remuneration: AU$86,000 – AU$104,000 per year + standard Australian Superannuation (11.5%).
- Salary range $86,000 – $104,000 + 11.5% super + shift penalty rates.
