Lead enterprise procurement negotiations, category management strategies, and vendor governance across Wesfarmers’ operating retail divisions.

Wesfarmers is looking for an experienced Strategic Sourcing & Procurement Lead to join our Corporate Procurement team in Perth. You will manage high-value sourcing categories across indirect spend (technology, freight logistics, facilities management, store fixtures), driving commercial efficiencies, ethical sourcing compliance, and supplier diversity across our iconic retail businesses.

As a key member of the team at Wesfarmers in Perth, WA, you will play a central role in driving excellence, upholding top-tier Australian industry standards, and contributing directly to the strategic milestones of one of the nation’s premier employers.

Key Duties & Core Responsibilities

In this critical role, your operational duties and key performance responsibilities will encompass:

• Lead end-to-end: Lead end-to-end strategic sourcing events (RFI/RFP/e-Auctions) across high-spend indirect categories.
• Negotiate multi-million-dollar: Negotiate multi-million-dollar master service agreements (MSAs) and performance-based service level agreements.
• Deliver sustainable: Deliver sustainable cost savings while enhancing service delivery quality across group retail divisions.
• Enforce ethical: Enforce ethical sourcing frameworks, modern slavery audits, and carbon reduction criteria across vendor networks.
• Manage executive: Manage executive supplier relationships and quarterly vendor performance reviews.

Required Qualifications, Licenses & Experience

To be successful in this position at Wesfarmers, candidates are expected to satisfy the following essential selection criteria:

• Mandatory Qualification: Degree in Commerce, Supply Chain, Law, Business or MCIPS certified.
• Relevant Experience: Minimum 6+ Years of verified industry experience in Australia or recognized overseas equivalence.
• 6+ years of strategic sourcing, commercial procurement, or category management experience in an enterprise environment.
• Demonstrated success negotiating complex enterprise commercial contracts.
• Strong financial modeling, analytical problem-solving, and cost-benefit analysis skills.
• Degree in Business, Commerce, Supply Chain, or MCIPS qualification.

• Competitive Remuneration: AU$150,000 – AU$180,000 per year + standard Australian Superannuation (11.5%).
• Competitive salary ($150,000 – $180,000) + annual Wesfarmers incentive bonus.
