Job Overview & Context
Multiple opportunities are available for an Enrolled Nurse (EN with Endorsement) to support a registered nurse in the provision of person and family centred, quality, safe patient care specified by the standards of practice and registration from the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA). This care is evidenced by educational preparation and adherence to relevant legislation and the context of care.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Support a registered nurse or registered midwife in delivering quality and safe person and family centered care.
- Elevate issues appropriately to a Registered Nurse or Registered Midwife.
- Consistently deliver a high level of service to patients, parents, caregivers, and families.
- Demonstrate rapport building skills, listening skills, and empathy.
- Respect the unique and diverse needs of patients, families, and people.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Enrolled Nurse with Endorsement registration from the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA).
- Vaccinated against, and remain vaccinated against, certain vaccine preventable diseases (VPD) as outlined in the Health Employment Directive NO. 01/16.
Skills & Competencies
- Contemporary clinical knowledge and experience in the area of general medical and surgical nursing, or a passion to learn and work with medical and surgical patient groups.
- High level of communication skills.
- Self-management skills, displaying flexibility and adapting to unexpected change.
- Knowledge of and a demonstrated commitment to quality processes and evidence-based practices.
- Honesty, integrity, and respect for all patients, carers, and staff.
