Primary Connect (Woolworths Group) is recruiting a Senior Cold Chain Logistics Manager for our Sydney Regional Distribution Centre in Minchinbury. You will safeguard the freshness and quality of meat, dairy, and fresh produce from farm gate to supermarket shelf, overseeing refrigerated fleet compliance, multi-temperature storage, and HACCP standards.

As a key member of the team at Woolworths Supply Chain (Primary Connect) in Sydney, NSW, you will play a central role in driving excellence, upholding top-tier Australian industry standards, and contributing directly to the strategic milestones of one of the nation’s premier employers.

Key Duties & Core Responsibilities

In this critical role, your operational duties and key performance responsibilities will encompass:

• Oversee cold: Oversee cold chain storage (-25°C freezer, +2°C chill, +12°C produce) across multi-site distribution networks.
• Monitor real-time: Monitor real-time GPS temperature telemetry across thousands of refrigerated linehaul trailers.
• Investigate thermal: Investigate thermal excursion incidents, implementing corrective actions to eliminate food wastage.
• Maintain food: Maintain food safety certifications conforming to HACCP, SQF, and state food authority requirements.
• Collaborate with: Collaborate with carrier freight partners to enforce refrigerated vehicle pre-cooling and hygiene standards.

Required Qualifications, Licenses & Experience

To be successful in this position at Woolworths Supply Chain (Primary Connect), candidates are expected to satisfy the following essential selection criteria:

• Mandatory Qualification: Degree in Supply Chain, Food Science, or Logistics Management.
• Relevant Experience: Minimum 5+ Years of verified industry experience in Australia or recognized overseas equivalence.
• Degree in Supply Chain, Food Technology, or Logistics.
• 5+ years specialized experience managing cold chain operations in perishable food or pharmaceuticals.
• Thorough knowledge of Australian Cold Chain Guidelines and HACCP food safety standards.
• Data-driven mindset with experience analyzing IoT sensor telemetry.

• Competitive Remuneration: AU$140,000 – AU$175,000 per year + standard Australian Superannuation (11.5%).
• Competitive salary $140,000 – $175,000 + 11.5% super + Woolworths short-term incentive.
