Kinetic IT in Perth is hiring a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to manage high-availability VMware vSphere clusters and SAN storage arrays.

Kinetic IT’s Enterprise Infrastructure team in Perth is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer. You will be responsible for the architectural design, administration, and performance optimization of multi-site VMware vSphere, Nutanix hyper-converged infrastructure, and enterprise SAN storage systems.

As a key member of the team at Kinetic IT in Perth, WA, you will play a central role in driving excellence, upholding top-tier Australian industry standards, and contributing directly to the strategic milestones of one of the nation’s premier employers.

Key Duties & Core Responsibilities

In this critical role, your operational duties and key performance responsibilities will encompass:

• Manage enterprise: Manage enterprise VMware vSphere 8.x environments and Nutanix AHV hyperconverged clusters.
• Administer Pure: Administer Pure Storage and NetApp SAN/NAS storage arrays, fiber channel fabrics, and replication.
• Develop PowerShell: Develop PowerShell and PowerCLI automation scripts to streamline infrastructure provisioning.
• Execute annual: Execute annual disaster recovery simulation tests and business continuity failovers.

Required Qualifications, Licenses & Experience

To be successful in this position at Kinetic IT, candidates are expected to satisfy the following essential selection criteria:

• Mandatory Qualification: VCP (VMware Certified Professional) or Bachelor in Computer Science.
• Relevant Experience: Minimum 5+ Years of verified industry experience in Australia or recognized overseas equivalence.
• 5+ years experience administering enterprise virtualization and server infrastructure.
• Active VMware Certified Professional (VCP) or Nutanix Certified Professional certification.
• Demonstrated proficiency in storage fabrics, server blade hardware (Cisco UCS), and disaster recovery.

• Competitive Remuneration: AU$130,000 – AU$155,000 per year + standard Australian Superannuation (11.5%).
• Competitive salary $130,000 – $155,000 + 11.5% super + performance bonuses.
