Interactive is hiring a Senior Cloud Backup & DR Engineer in Sydney to design cyber-resilient backup repositories and immutable cloud vaults.

Interactive is seeking an experienced Senior Cloud Backup & Disaster Recovery Engineer in Sydney. You will lead the implementation of enterprise business continuity, immutable air-gapped backup vaults, and rapid disaster recovery solutions protecting client data against ransomware destruction.

Key Duties & Core Responsibilities

In this critical role, your operational duties and key performance responsibilities will encompass:

• Architect and: Architect and maintain enterprise backup infrastructure using Veeam Availability Suite and Commvault.
• Deploy immutable: Deploy immutable S3 object storage vaults and air-gapped offline recovery repositories.
• Coordinate and: Coordinate and execute regular Disaster Recovery failover tests for enterprise clients.
• Conduct root-cause: Conduct root-cause analyses on failed backup jobs and automate recovery verification scripts.

Required Qualifications, Licenses & Experience

To be successful in this position at Interactive, candidates are expected to satisfy the following essential selection criteria:

• Mandatory Qualification: Veeam Certified Engineer (VMCE) or Commvault Certified.
• Relevant Experience: Minimum 5+ Years of verified industry experience in Australia or recognized overseas equivalence.
• 5+ years experience in enterprise data protection, backup administration, and disaster recovery.
• Certifications such as Veeam Certified Engineer (VMCE) or Commvault Engineer.
• In-depth knowledge of AWS S3 Glacier, Azure Blob Immutable Storage, and cyber-recovery vaulting.

• Competitive Remuneration: AU$130,000 – AU$160,000 per year + standard Australian Superannuation (11.5%).
• Package $130,000 – $160,000 + 11.5% super + performance bonus.
