Microsoft Australia is recruiting an Azure Cloud Solution Architect in Melbourne to design enterprise generative AI and cloud application platforms.

Microsoft Customer Success is seeking an Azure Cloud Solution Architect specializing in Artificial Intelligence and Modern Applications in Melbourne. You will empower strategic enterprise customers to build generative AI solutions using Azure OpenAI, LangChain, and Kubernetes.

As a key member of the team at Microsoft Australia in Melbourne, VIC, you will play a central role in driving excellence, upholding top-tier Australian industry standards, and contributing directly to the strategic milestones of one of the nation’s premier employers.

Key Duties & Core Responsibilities

In this critical role, your operational duties and key performance responsibilities will encompass:

• Design production-grade: Design production-grade generative AI architectures utilizing Azure OpenAI Service and Azure AI Search.
• Architect cloud-native: Architect cloud-native application modernization blueprints using Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) and API Management.
• Partner with: Partner with enterprise developers during architectural design sessions (ADS) and proof-of-concept builds.
• Drive Azure: Drive Azure cloud consumption, governance, and architectural security best practices.

Required Qualifications, Licenses & Experience

To be successful in this position at Microsoft Australia, candidates are expected to satisfy the following essential selection criteria:

• Mandatory Qualification: Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert.
• Relevant Experience: Minimum 5+ Years of verified industry experience in Australia or recognized overseas equivalence.
• 5+ years technical architecture experience with Microsoft Azure.
• Active Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert certification.
• Practical experience with containerized microservices, APIs, and modern generative AI frameworks.

• Competitive Remuneration: AU$180,000 – AU$230,000 per year + standard Australian Superannuation (11.5%).
• Executive package $180,000 – $230,000 + Microsoft stock awards + superannuation.
