Lead intensive neurological rehabilitation, robotic gait retraining, and functional motor recovery for acute stroke and spinal patients.

Donvale Rehabilitation Hospital (Ramsay Health Care) is seeking a Senior Neurological Physiotherapist to lead our multidisciplinary inpatient neuro-rehabilitation unit in Melbourne’s eastern suburbs. You will formulate evidence-based motor relearning programs, utilize advanced robotic gait devices, and conduct hydrotherapy sessions.

Key Duties & Core Responsibilities

In this critical role, your operational duties and key performance responsibilities will encompass:

• Conduct specialized: Conduct specialized neurological assessments evaluating motor control, balance, tone, and functional ambulation.
• Formulate intensive: Formulate intensive goal-directed therapy protocols adhering to Australian Stroke Foundation guidelines.
• Operate advanced: Operate advanced rehabilitation robotics including body-weight supported treadmill gait trainers.
• Conduct aquatic: Conduct aquatic physiotherapy (hydrotherapy) in our temperature-controlled on-site rehabilitation pool.
• Liaise with: Liaise with NDIS planners, occupational therapists, and rehabilitation physicians on discharge equipment.

Required Qualifications, Licenses & Experience

To be successful in this position at Ramsay Health Care, candidates are expected to satisfy the following essential selection criteria:

• Mandatory Qualification: Bachelor or Master of Physiotherapy & Unrestricted AHPRA Registration.
• Relevant Experience: Minimum 5+ Years of verified industry experience in Australia or recognized overseas equivalence.
• Bachelor of Physiotherapy or Doctor of Physiotherapy.
• Current unconditional registration with the Physiotherapy Board of Australia (AHPRA).
• Minimum 4 years clinical experience with significant exposure to neurological inpatient rehabilitation.
• Australian Physiotherapy Association (APA) Neurological special interest membership desirable.

At Ramsay Health Care, we understand that our people drive our achievements. An outstanding remuneration and wellbeing package is provided in line with Australian benchmarks:

• Competitive Remuneration: AU$95,000 – AU$118,000 per year + standard Australian Superannuation (11.5%).
• Salary $95,000 – $118,000 + 11.5% super + annual CPD allowance.
