The University of Sydney is recruiting a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Charles Perkins Centre to investigate immune response pathways in autoimmunity.

The Faculty of Medicine and Health at the University of Sydney is seeking a dedicated Postdoctoral Research Fellow to join our immunology laboratory.

Key Duties & Core Responsibilities

In this critical role, your operational duties and key performance responsibilities will encompass:

• Design and: Design and execute cellular immunology experiments investigating T-cell regulation and cytokine signaling.
• Perform advanced: Perform advanced spectral flow cytometry, confocal microscopy, and single-cell RNA sequencing.
• Author high-impact: Author high-impact scientific manuscripts for international peer-reviewed journals.
• Collaborate on: Collaborate on competitive grant applications to NHMRC and medical research foundations.

Required Qualifications, Licenses & Experience

To be successful in this position at University of Sydney, candidates are expected to satisfy the following essential selection criteria:

• Mandatory Qualification: PhD in Immunology, Microbiology, or Biomedical Sciences.
• Relevant Experience: Minimum 2-5 Years of verified industry experience in Australia or recognized overseas equivalence.
• PhD in Immunology, Molecular Biology, or Biomedical Science.
• Demonstrated experience with multi-color flow cytometry and primary cell culture.
• Strong publication record relative to career stage in reputable journals.

• Competitive Remuneration: AU$98,000 – AU$118,000 per year + standard Australian Superannuation (11.5%).
• Salary (Level A/B) $98,000 – $118,000 plus 17% university superannuation.
