As a key member of the team at John Holland in Melbourne, VIC, you will play a central role in driving excellence, upholding top-tier Australian industry standards, and contributing directly to the strategic milestones of one of the nation’s premier employers.

Key Duties & Core Responsibilities

In this critical role, your operational duties and key performance responsibilities will encompass:

• Direct the: Direct the project WHS & Environmental Management System across complex construction worksites.
• Lead ICAM: Lead ICAM investigations into safety incidents and near misses.
• Conduct safety: Conduct safety behavioral audits, risk workshops, and high-risk work verification.
• Collaborate with: Collaborate with WorkSafe Victoria and transport regulators.

Required Qualifications, Licenses & Experience

To be successful in this position at John Holland, candidates are expected to satisfy the following essential selection criteria:

• Mandatory Qualification: Diploma or Degree in Occupational Health & Safety (WHS).
• Relevant Experience: Minimum 5+ Years of verified industry experience in Australia or recognized overseas equivalence.
• Formal qualifications in Occupational Health and Safety (Diploma or Degree).
• Minimum 7 years HSE experience in civil construction or heavy rail.
• Certified ICAM Lead Investigator.

• Competitive Remuneration: AU$140,000 – AU$170,000 per year + standard Australian Superannuation (11.5%).
• Package $140,000 – $170,000 + company vehicle / car allowance + super.
