Aurecon is appointing a Principal Mechanical Engineer in Adelaide to design innovative HVAC and energy-efficient building systems for healthcare facilities.

Aurecon’s Adelaide Building Services team is seeking a Principal Mechanical Engineer to lead HVAC design for hospital and laboratory projects.

As a key member of the team at Aurecon in Adelaide, SA, you will play a central role in driving excellence, upholding top-tier Australian industry standards, and contributing directly to the strategic milestones of one of the nation’s premier employers.

Key Duties & Core Responsibilities

In this critical role, your operational duties and key performance responsibilities will encompass:

• Lead detailed: Lead detailed mechanical engineering design for HVAC systems in healthcare buildings.
• Perform thermal: Perform thermal load calculations and energy performance modeling.
• Ensure compliance: Ensure compliance with National Construction Code (NCC Section J) and AS 1668.
• Coordinate multi-disciplinary: Coordinate multi-disciplinary BIM integration in Autodesk Revit.

Required Qualifications, Licenses & Experience

To be successful in this position at Aurecon, candidates are expected to satisfy the following essential selection criteria:

• Mandatory Qualification: Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering & Chartered Engineer (CPEng).
• Relevant Experience: Minimum 5+ Years of verified industry experience in Australia or recognized overseas equivalence.
• Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Current Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) with Engineers Australia.
• Minimum 8 years consulting engineering experience in building services.

• Competitive Remuneration: AU$150,000 – AU$185,000 per year + standard Australian Superannuation (11.5%).
• Remuneration package $150,000 – $185,000 + performance bonus + super.
