Laing O’Rourke is hiring a Digital Engineering Lead to join our Digital Engineering & Technology team in North Sydney. You will spearhead the implementation of ISO 19650 digital delivery standards, integrate 4D time-linked construction sequencing (Synchro), manage federated BIM models across multidisciplinary design consultants, and deliver operational digital twins to clients.

As a key member of the team at Laing O’Rourke in Sydney, NSW, you will play a central role in driving excellence, upholding top-tier Australian industry standards, and contributing directly to the strategic milestones of one of the nation’s premier employers.

Key Duties & Core Responsibilities

In this critical role, your operational duties and key performance responsibilities will encompass:

• Author and: Author and implement Project BIM Execution Plans (BEP) in accordance with ISO 19650 guidelines.
• Federate multidisciplinary: Federate multidisciplinary architectural, structural, and MEP models using Autodesk Navisworks and Revizto.
• Lead automated: Lead automated clash detection coordination meetings and resolve spatial conflicts prior to site manufacture.
• Link Primavera: Link Primavera P6 construction programs to 3D models to create 4D construction staging simulations in Synchro.
• Support Modern: Support Modern Methods of Construction (MMC) by generating precast and modular fabrication model data.

Required Qualifications, Licenses & Experience

To be successful in this position at Laing O’Rourke, candidates are expected to satisfy the following essential selection criteria:

• Mandatory Qualification: Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management or BIM Technology.
• Relevant Experience: Minimum 6+ Years of verified industry experience in Australia or recognized overseas equivalence.
• 6+ years of digital engineering or BIM management experience on major tier-1 building or infrastructure projects.
• Expert mastery of BIM software suites (Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, BIM 360/ACC, Revizto, Synchro).
• Deep understanding of ISO 19650 information management standards and COBie asset data handovers.
• Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management.

• Competitive Remuneration: AU$145,000 – AU$175,000 per year + standard Australian Superannuation (11.5%).
• Remuneration $145,000 – $175,000 + annual bonus + superannuation.
