Key Duties & Core Responsibilities

In this critical role, your operational duties and key performance responsibilities will encompass:

  • Deliver empathetic,: Deliver empathetic, tailored financial hardship assistance and sustainable repayment plans to customers facing sudden crisis.
  • Ensure strict: Ensure strict compliance with Australian regulatory frameworks (APRA, ASIC, AUSTRAC, NCCP) and internal credit risk limits.
  • Collaborate virtually: Collaborate virtually with cross-functional business stakeholders, branch networks, and risk committees.
  • Identify and: Identify and implement process automations and reporting efficiencies to enhance decision speed and customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain comprehensive: Maintain comprehensive audit trails and documentation for all credit, accounting, or compliance recommendations.

Required Qualifications, Licenses & Experience

To be successful in this position at Suncorp Group, candidates are expected to satisfy the following essential selection criteria:

  • Mandatory Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance or Equivalent Australian Qualification.
  • Relevant Experience: Minimum 5+ Years of verified industry experience in Australia or recognized overseas equivalence.
  • Demonstrated professional capability in Financial Hardship and National Credit Code.
  • Solid knowledge of the Australian banking, financial services, or insurance landscape.
  • Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Relevant degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Commerce, or related discipline (CA/CPA/FIAA advantageous).
  • Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency required for banking regulatory compliance.
