Shape the future of Australian real-time payments by defining product roadmaps for New Payments Platform (NPP), PayTo, and ISO 20022 messaging at ANZ.

ANZ is seeking a dynamic Senior Product Manager to lead our Commercial Payments product lifecycle in Melbourne. You will drive market adoption of real-time account-to-account payments, commercial PayTo mandates, and ISO 20022 data-rich transactional capabilities for institutional, corporate, and government clients.

As a key member of the team at ANZ Banking Group in Melbourne, VIC, you will play a central role in driving excellence, upholding top-tier Australian industry standards, and contributing directly to the strategic milestones of one of the nation’s premier employers.

Key Duties & Core Responsibilities

In this critical role, your operational duties and key performance responsibilities will encompass:

• Define product: Define product vision, business cases, and multi-year roadmaps for commercial real-time payment rails.
• Partner with: Partner with technology squads to deliver scalable APIs and cloud settlement systems for PayTo and Osko.
• Drive go-to-market: Drive go-to-market strategies, pricing models, and client commercialization programs.
• Ensure full: Ensure full compliance with Australian Payments Plus (AP+) regulations and RBA oversight standards.
• Monitor product: Monitor product P&L performance, transaction volumes, unit economics, and client adoption metrics.

Required Qualifications, Licenses & Experience

To be successful in this position at ANZ Banking Group, candidates are expected to satisfy the following essential selection criteria:

• Mandatory Qualification: Tertiary degree in Business, Commerce, Information Systems, or Engineering.
• Relevant Experience: Minimum 6+ Years of verified industry experience in Australia or recognized overseas equivalence.
• 6+ years of product management experience in transactional banking, fintech, or payment networks.
• Deep functional understanding of Australian payment clearing systems (NPP, BECS, RTGS, ISO 20022).
• Demonstrated experience taking modern API-driven financial products from concept to market scale.
• Strong commercial acumen, customer journey mapping, and cross-functional agile leadership skills.

• Competitive Remuneration: AU$155,000 – AU$185,000 per year + standard Australian Superannuation (11.5%).
• Salary package $155,000 – $185,000 + performance bonus + superannuation.
