Bendigo and Adelaide Bank is seeking an experienced Senior Credit Policy & Portfolio Risk Manager to join our Group Risk team at The Bendigo Centre. You will formulate and refine lending policy frameworks, monitor macroeconomic risk indicators, evaluate credit concentration thresholds, and ensure continuous adherence to APRA APS 220 credit risk standards.

Key Duties & Core Responsibilities
In this critical role, your operational duties and key performance responsibilities will encompass:
- Formulate and: Formulate and update residential mortgage and commercial credit lending policies and underwriting criteria.
- Conduct portfolio: Conduct portfolio stress testing and sensitivity analysis against interest rate shocks and property downturns.
- Evaluate credit: Evaluate credit policy exception trends and recommend calibrated adjustments to risk appetite limits.
- Prepare credit: Prepare credit risk reporting packs for the Executive Credit Committee and Board Risk Committee.
- Collaborate with: Collaborate with frontline distribution heads to balance prudent risk management with commercial lending growth.
Required Qualifications, Licenses & Experience
To be successful in this position at Bendigo and Adelaide Bank, candidates are expected to satisfy the following essential selection criteria:
- Mandatory Qualification: Degree in Commerce, Economics, Banking, or Finance.
- Relevant Experience: Minimum 6+ Years of verified industry experience in Australia or recognized overseas equivalence.
- 6+ years of credit policy, credit risk underwriting, or prudential compliance experience in an Australian ADI.
- In-depth knowledge of APRA Prudential Standards (APS 220, APS 112) and responsible lending laws.
- Demonstrated ability to translate macroeconomic and portfolio trends into clear policy directives.
- Strong stakeholder influence, written communication, and policy drafting capabilities.
