Key Responsibilities & Operational Scope
- This role is primarily phone-based and offers the opportunity to develop strong relationships within the financial adviser community while building a foundation for a long-term career in sales.
- Execute and drive proactively engage with financial advisers and licensed representatives across New South Wales, promoting the firm Asset Management's investment capabilities and generating meetings for Business Development Managers (BDMs).
- Through consistent outreach, relationship building and ongoing client engagement, you will develop your own pipeline of adviser relationships and, over time, expand your sales activity as your product knowledge, experience and track record grow.
- Execute and drive support the broader sales strategy by servicing existing adviser relationships, conducting follow-up calls to maintain engagement between BDM visits, and managing post-meeting and event communications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to Marketing and fellow Sales Associates, you will coordinate adviser attendance at events, assist with event preparation and material distribution, and contribute to sales activity across multiple regions.
- Additionally maintain accurate records within the contact management system, ensuring all calls, meetings and correspondence are captured to support future engagement, while providing ad hoc support to the team in achieving its sales and growth objectives.
Candidate Profile & Required Qualifications
- 2-3 years of experience in a sales, business development, or client service role, ideally within financial services or wealth management.
- A bachelor's degree or equivalent.
- Working knowledge of investment markets and products across major asset classes, including equities, fixed income, real assets and alternatives, with a genuine interest in deepening this knowledge over time.
- Excellent telephone, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with strong attention to detail, time management, and organisational ability.
- A proactive, solution-oriented mindset with the initiative to work independently as well as in a team environment.
