Key Duties & Core Responsibilities

In this critical role, your operational duties and key performance responsibilities will encompass:

  • Partner with: Partner with Regional Managers to drive talent acquisition, succession planning, and team capability.
  • Provide expert: Provide expert counsel on complex workplace relations, disciplinary matters, and performance management.
  • Ensure compliance: Ensure compliance with Coles Enterprise Agreement and Fair Work Act legislation.
  • Lead diversity: Lead diversity and inclusion programs, mental health initiatives, and leadership workshops.

Required Qualifications, Licenses & Experience

To be successful in this position at Coles Group, candidates are expected to satisfy the following essential selection criteria:

  • Mandatory Qualification: Bachelor Degree in Human Resource Management or Business.
  • Relevant Experience: Minimum 5+ Years of verified industry experience in Australia or recognized overseas equivalence.
  • 5+ years HR business partnering experience within large, fast-paced retail or consumer environments.
  • Deep understanding of Australian employment law and industrial instruments (EBAs / Modern Awards).
  • Strong coaching and relationship-building capabilities.

  • Competitive Remuneration: AU$125,000 – AU$150,000 per year + standard Australian Superannuation (11.5%).
  • Remuneration $125,000 – $150,000 + performance bonus + superannuation.
