The University of Sydney is hiring an exceptional Director of International Student Recruitment & Global Partnerships to join our Global Engagement leadership team in Camperdown. You will direct multi-channel recruitment strategies across priority global markets, manage an accredited international education agent network, forge dual-degree institutional alliances, and drive international student diversity.

As a key member of the team at University of Sydney in Sydney, NSW, you will play a central role in driving excellence, upholding top-tier Australian industry standards, and contributing directly to the strategic milestones of one of the nation’s premier employers.

Key Duties & Core Responsibilities

In this critical role, your operational duties and key performance responsibilities will encompass:

• Lead international: Lead international student recruitment strategy, delivering student revenue and diversity targets across 140+ countries.
• Manage overseas: Manage overseas regional recruitment offices and an accredited global network of educational placement agencies.
• Negotiate international: Negotiate international articulation agreements, 2+2 dual degrees, and study-abroad student exchange partnerships.
• Ensure strict: Ensure strict compliance with the Education Services for Overseas Students (ESOS) Act and Genuine Student (GS) visa requirements.
• Collaborate with: Collaborate with faculty deans to market innovative undergraduate, postgraduate, and micro-credential offerings globally.

Required Qualifications, Licenses & Experience

To be successful in this position at University of Sydney, candidates are expected to satisfy the following essential selection criteria:

• Mandatory Qualification: Degree in International Relations, Marketing, Business Administration or Higher Education.
• Relevant Experience: Minimum 8+ Years of verified industry experience in Australia or recognized overseas equivalence.
• 8+ years of senior leadership experience in international education recruitment, global marketing, or university partnerships.
• Proven track record delivering strategic international student enrolment growth while maintaining academic quality.
• Deep comprehension of global education markets, geopolitical visa shifts, and international student demographics.
• Degree in International Relations, Marketing, Commerce, or related discipline.

• Competitive Remuneration: AU$175,000 – AU$215,000 per year + standard Australian Superannuation (11.5%).
• Executive remuneration ($175,000 – $215,000) + 17% superannuation contributions.
