Queensland University of Technology (QUT) is seeking a visionary Director of Academic Curriculum & Digital Learning Innovation to join our Learning and Teaching executive team at Gardens Point, Brisbane. You will lead pedagogical evolution across our faculties, driving immersive online learning, AI-assisted personalized learning, stackable micro-credentials, and authentic assessment design.

As a key member of the team at Queensland University of Technology (QUT) in Brisbane, QLD, you will play a central role in driving excellence, upholding top-tier Australian industry standards, and contributing directly to the strategic milestones of one of the nation’s premier employers.

Key Duties & Core Responsibilities

In this critical role, your operational duties and key performance responsibilities will encompass:

• Direct institutional: Direct institutional strategy for digital learning, modern educational technology, and curriculum redesign.
• Lead university: Lead university adoption of generative AI teaching guidelines, digital assessment integrity, and flexible blended study.
• Manage enterprise: Manage enterprise learning platforms including Canvas LMS, digital media studios, and interactive simulation suites.
• Collaborate with: Collaborate with Faculty Executive Deans to design industry-aligned curricula and professional micro-credentials.
• Lead a: Lead a talented multidisciplinary team of instructional designers, educational technologists, and academic developers.

Required Qualifications, Licenses & Experience

To be successful in this position at Queensland University of Technology (QUT), candidates are expected to satisfy the following essential selection criteria:

• Mandatory Qualification: PhD or Master’s in Education, Learning Design, Instructional Technology, or related discipline.
• Relevant Experience: Minimum 8+ Years of verified industry experience in Australia or recognized overseas equivalence.
• 8+ years of senior academic or digital learning leadership experience in a reputable university or higher education institution.
• Demonstrated national reputation in pedagogical innovation, curriculum transformation, and educational technology.
• Doctoral or Master’s degree in Education, Learning Sciences, or related field.
• Exceptional executive presence, inspirational collaboration, and change management skills.

At Queensland University of Technology (QUT), we understand that our people drive our achievements. An outstanding remuneration and wellbeing package is provided in line with Australian benchmarks:

• Competitive Remuneration: AU$170,000 – AU$205,000 per year + standard Australian Superannuation (11.5%).
• Executive salary package ($170,000 – $205,000) + 17% superannuation.
