Lendlease is seeking a passionate Sustainable Building & Green Star Certification Consultant to join our Sustainability team in Barangaroo, Sydney. You will partner with project design directors, structural engineers, and supply chain managers to eliminate embodied carbon (low-carbon concrete, mass timber), optimize operational energy efficiency, and achieve 6-Star Green Star and WELL Platinum ratings.

As a key member of the team at Lendlease in Sydney, NSW, you will play a central role in driving excellence, upholding top-tier Australian industry standards, and contributing directly to the strategic milestones of one of the nation’s premier employers.

Key Duties & Core Responsibilities

In this critical role, your operational duties and key performance responsibilities will encompass:

• Lead Green: Lead Green Star Buildings and WELL certification submissions from design rating to as-built verification.
• Perform Whole-of-Life: Perform Whole-of-Life Embodied Carbon Life Cycle Assessments (LCA) utilizing One Click LCA software.
• Advise on: Advise on sustainable procurement of green steel, low-carbon geopolymer concrete, and timber structures.
• Coordinate daylight,: Coordinate daylight, thermal comfort, and natural ventilation simulations with building services modelers.
• Track and: Track and report scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions for construction sites against Lendlease’s Mission Zero targets.

Required Qualifications, Licenses & Experience

To be successful in this position at Lendlease, candidates are expected to satisfy the following essential selection criteria:

• Mandatory Qualification: Degree in Architecture, Building Science, Sustainable Engineering or Environmental Science.
• Relevant Experience: Minimum 4+ Years of verified industry experience in Australia or recognized overseas equivalence.
• 4+ years of sustainability consulting experience in commercial building or master-planned precinct developments.
• Accredited Green Star Associate / Accredited Professional (GSAP) and/or WELL AP.
• Demonstrated experience conducting Whole-of-Building Life Cycle Assessments (LCA).
• Degree in Architecture, Building Science, Engineering, or Environmental Management.

• Competitive Remuneration: AU$125,000 – AU$150,000 per year + standard Australian Superannuation (11.5%).
• Salary $125,000 – $150,000 + performance bonus + superannuation.
