Architect and deliver transformative AWS cloud native architectures and modernization solutions for Australia’s most prominent enterprises at Versent.

Versent is seeking a talented AWS Solutions Architect to join our Melbourne cloud consultancy practice. You will partner directly with enterprise clients to architect modern cloud ecosystems, conduct AWS Well-Architected Framework reviews, build automated Multi-Account Landing Zones, and migrate legacy applications into cloud-native serverless models.

As a key member of the team at Versent in Melbourne, VIC, you will play a central role in driving excellence, upholding top-tier Australian industry standards, and contributing directly to the strategic milestones of one of the nation’s premier employers.

Key Duties & Core Responsibilities

In this critical role, your operational duties and key performance responsibilities will encompass:

• Architect resilient,: Architect resilient, secure, and cost-effective cloud architectures on Amazon Web Services (AWS).
• Design and: Design and deploy enterprise AWS Control Tower and Landing Zone environments using Terraform.
• Conduct AWS: Conduct AWS Well-Architected Framework reviews and design remediation roadmaps across security and operational excellence.
• Advise client: Advise client technical teams on serverless adoption (AWS Lambda, DynamoDB, API Gateway) and event-driven patterns.
• Lead technical: Lead technical delivery workshops and produce comprehensive High-Level and Low-Level Architecture designs.

Required Qualifications, Licenses & Experience

To be successful in this position at Versent, candidates are expected to satisfy the following essential selection criteria:

• Mandatory Qualification: Tertiary degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering + AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional.
• Relevant Experience: Minimum 6+ Years of verified industry experience in Australia or recognized overseas equivalence.
• 6+ years of IT experience with at least 4 years specializing in AWS cloud design and engineering.
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional certification is essential.
• Expertise in Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and automated CI/CD pipelines.
• Exceptional client-facing consulting, technical presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills.

• Competitive Remuneration: AU$165,000 – AU$195,000 per year + standard Australian Superannuation (11.5%).
• Competitive salary ($165,000 – $195,000) + performance consulting bonus.
