Ensure technical safety, inline inspection (ILI) analysis, and corrosion protection for high-pressure gas pipeline networks.

APA Group is seeking a Senior Pipeline Integrity Engineer based in Brisbane. You will manage asset lifecycle integrity across thousands of kilometers of transmission pipelines, overseeing intelligent pigging inspections, corrosion defect assessments, and direct compliance with AS 2885 standards.

Key Duties & Core Responsibilities

In this critical role, your operational duties and key performance responsibilities will encompass:

• Evaluate in-line: Evaluate in-line inspection (ILI) ultrasonic and magnetic flux leakage tool data to identify pipe wall anomalies.
• Calculate remaining: Calculate remaining pipe strength and safe operating pressures using ASME B31G and RSTRENG codes.
• Design, audit,: Design, audit, and troubleshoot impressed current cathodic protection (ICCP) systems.
• Lead formal: Lead formal AS 2885 Safety Management Studies (SMS) and threat risk assessments.
• Direct pipeline: Direct pipeline sleeve repair methodologies, hot-tapping, and recoating field programs.

Required Qualifications, Licenses & Experience

To be successful in this position at APA Group, candidates are expected to satisfy the following essential selection criteria:

• Mandatory Qualification: Bachelor of Mechanical, Materials, or Corrosion Engineering & CPEng.
• Relevant Experience: Minimum 5+ Years of verified industry experience in Australia or recognized overseas equivalence.
• Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical, Materials, or Corrosion).
• 6+ years experience in gas transmission pipeline integrity engineering.
• Deep expertise in AS 2885, ASME B31.8, and NACE/AMPP cathodic protection standards.
• CPEng chartered engineer status with Engineers Australia.

• Competitive Remuneration: AU$145,000 – AU$180,000 per year + standard Australian Superannuation (11.5%).
• Competitive salary $145,000 – $180,000 + 11.5% super + performance bonus.
