Deliver subsea pipeline designs, rigid spools, and deepwater flowline engineering for world-class offshore LNG developments.

Woodside Energy is looking for a Lead Subsea Pipeline & Flowlines Engineer based in Perth. You will provide technical stewardship for deepwater offshore rigid pipelines, flexible risers, subsea manifolds, and tiebacks supporting the Scarborough and Pluto LNG operations.

As a key member of the team at Woodside Energy in Perth, WA, you will play a central role in driving excellence, upholding top-tier Australian industry standards, and contributing directly to the strategic milestones of one of the nation’s premier employers.

Key Duties & Core Responsibilities

In this critical role, your operational duties and key performance responsibilities will encompass:

• Lead mechanical: Lead mechanical and structural design of subsea flowlines and trunklines conforming to DNV-ST-F101.
• Perform on-bottom: Perform on-bottom stability, spanning analysis, and lateral buckling mitigation assessments.
• Oversee pipeline: Oversee pipeline installation engineering including S-lay, J-lay, and reel-lay methodology verification.
• Coordinate subsea: Coordinate subsea integrity management and corrosion monitoring strategies.
• Liaise with: Liaise with subsea equipment EPCI contractors and classification societies (DNV, Lloyd’s).

Required Qualifications, Licenses & Experience

To be successful in this position at Woodside Energy, candidates are expected to satisfy the following essential selection criteria:

• Mandatory Qualification: Bachelor of Mechanical or Subsea Engineering & CPEng.
• Relevant Experience: Minimum 5+ Years of verified industry experience in Australia or recognized overseas equivalence.
• Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical, Subsea, Naval Architecture, or Civil).
• 8+ years offshore pipeline engineering experience in oil & gas or offshore renewables.
• Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) or eligible.
• Familiarity with subsea intervention tooling and remote operated vehicles (ROV).

• Competitive Remuneration: AU$185,000 – AU$230,000 per year + standard Australian Superannuation (11.5%).
