TPG Telecom is hiring a Cloud Infrastructure Automation Engineer in North Sydney to build automated provisioning workflows using Python and Terraform.

TPG Telecom’s Infrastructure Operations team is seeking an experienced Cloud Infrastructure Automation Engineer in North Sydney. You will automate operational deployment across virtualized on-premise compute and AWS cloud environments, writing maintainable Python and Ansible scripts.

Key Duties & Core Responsibilities

In this critical role, your operational duties and key performance responsibilities will encompass:

• Develop automated: Develop automated cloud infrastructure provisioning playbooks in Python, Ansible, and Terraform.
• Build automated: Build automated self-healing scripts for virtual machines, storage volumes, and network interfaces.
• Integrate infrastructure: Integrate infrastructure APIs with ServiceNow for automated change request execution.
• Maintain Linux: Maintain Linux system configurations and automated patch management lifecycles.

Required Qualifications, Licenses & Experience

To be successful in this position at TPG Telecom, candidates are expected to satisfy the following essential selection criteria:

• Mandatory Qualification: Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering.
• Relevant Experience: Minimum 3-5 Years of verified industry experience in Australia or recognized overseas equivalence.
• 3+ years experience automating infrastructure with Python and Ansible.
• Hands-on expertise with AWS cloud infrastructure and Linux (RHEL/Ubuntu) administration.
• Demonstrated experience utilizing version control (Git) and CI/CD automation.

• Competitive Remuneration: AU$135,000 – AU$165,000 per year + standard Australian Superannuation (11.5%).
• Competitive salary $135,000 – $165,000 + performance bonus + superannuation.
