Macquarie Group is appointing a Vice President of Cloud Security in Sydney to govern zero-trust architectures and cloud infrastructure defense.

Macquarie Group’s Corporate Operations Group is seeking a Vice President to lead our Global Cloud Security Architecture practice in Sydney. You will establish zero-trust security postures, cloud guardrails, and cryptographic controls safeguarding billions in institutional capital.

As a key member of the team at Macquarie Group in Sydney, NSW, you will play a central role in driving excellence, upholding top-tier Australian industry standards, and contributing directly to the strategic milestones of one of the nation’s premier employers.

Key Duties & Core Responsibilities

In this critical role, your operational duties and key performance responsibilities will encompass:

• Define zero-trust: Define zero-trust cloud security roadmaps across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud multi-tenant environments.
• Establish automated: Establish automated security posture management (CSPM) and Infrastructure-as-Code policy enforcement.
• Ensure full: Ensure full compliance with APRA CPS 234, PCI-DSS, and international regulatory mandates.
• Lead executive: Lead executive threat modeling workshops and advise cloud engineering teams on defensive architectures.

Required Qualifications, Licenses & Experience

To be successful in this position at Macquarie Group, candidates are expected to satisfy the following essential selection criteria:

• Mandatory Qualification: Bachelor of Computer Science or CISSP / CCSP Certified.
• Relevant Experience: Minimum 5+ Years of verified industry experience in Australia or recognized overseas equivalence.
• 10+ years experience in cybersecurity architecture within financial services or enterprise technology.
• Certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, or AWS Certified Security Specialty.
• Proven track record managing senior stakeholders and driving cultural security transformation.

• Competitive Remuneration: AU$190,000 – AU$240,000 per year + standard Australian Superannuation (11.5%).
