Xero’s Mobile Product team in Melbourne is seeking a passionate Senior iOS Engineer to craft delightful mobile banking and invoicing features. You will build native iOS applications used by hundreds of thousands of small business owners daily, ensuring top-tier performance and crash-free rates.

Key Duties & Core Responsibilities

In this critical role, your operational duties and key performance responsibilities will encompass:

• Architect and: Architect and develop native iOS mobile features using Swift, SwiftUI, and Combine.
• Refactor legacy: Refactor legacy components into modular architecture with high automated unit and UI snapshot test coverage.
• Optimize app: Optimize app launch performance, memory footprint, and network caching.
• Collaborate with: Collaborate with mobile product designers and Android peers on unified design system standards.

Required Qualifications, Licenses & Experience

To be successful in this position at Xero Australia, candidates are expected to satisfy the following essential selection criteria:

• Mandatory Qualification: Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering.
• Relevant Experience: Minimum 5+ Years of verified industry experience in Australia or recognized overseas equivalence.
• 5+ years professional iOS development experience with modern Swift.
• Deep understanding of iOS SDK, memory management (ARC), concurrency, and SwiftUI.
• Published iOS applications on the App Store with high user ratings.

• Competitive Remuneration: AU$150,000 – AU$185,000 per year + standard Australian Superannuation (11.5%).
• Remuneration $150,000 – $185,000 + employee share scheme + super.
