Sydney Adventist Hospital (the San) is appointing a Perioperative Scrub/Scout Nurse specialized in da Vinci Xi robotic surgery.

The San in Wahroonga is seeking an experienced Perioperative Scrub/Scout Nurse to join our state-of-the-art operating theatre complex. You will scrub and scout for advanced da Vinci robotic urology, gynaecology, and colorectal procedures alongside prominent consultant surgeons.

Key Duties & Core Responsibilities

In this critical role, your operational duties and key performance responsibilities will encompass:

• Manage scrub: Manage scrub and scout responsibilities for da Vinci Xi robotic surgical procedures.
• Drape and: Drape and dock the surgical robot arms, verifying instrument connections and optical cameras.
• Enforce strict: Enforce strict ACORN surgical counting protocols and sterile technique across complex cases.
• Collaborate effectively: Collaborate effectively with surgical teams, anaesthetists, and theatre technicians.

Required Qualifications, Licenses & Experience

To be successful in this position at Sydney Adventist Hospital (the San), candidates are expected to satisfy the following essential selection criteria:

• Mandatory Qualification: Bachelor of Nursing & Perioperative Certificate.
• Relevant Experience: Minimum 3-5 Years of verified industry experience in Australia or recognized overseas equivalence.
• Current unconditional registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA.
• Minimum 3 years theatre scrub/scout experience with verified robotic or laparoscopic experience.
• Postgraduate qualifications in Perioperative Nursing (or working towards).

• Competitive Remuneration: AU$92,000 – AU$112,000 per year + standard Australian Superannuation (11.5%).
• Competitive salary $92,000 – $112,000 + 11.5% super + on-call and overtime loading.
• Not-for-profit salary packaging benefits up to $15,900.
