Royal Prince Alfred Hospital’s State Transplant Service is seeking a dedicated Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) in Liver and Renal Transplantation. In this specialized senior clinical position, you will oversee pre-transplant workups, acute post-operative immunosuppression management, and transplant patient education.

Key Duties & Core Responsibilities

In this critical role, your operational duties and key performance responsibilities will encompass:

• Lead specialized: Lead specialized clinical nursing care for complex liver and kidney transplant recipients.
• Monitor immunosuppressive: Monitor immunosuppressive therapeutic drug levels and coordinate graft rejection screenings.
• Conduct pre-transplant: Conduct pre-transplant recipient workup consultations and organ donor allocation protocols.
• Educate transplant: Educate transplant patients and families on medication compliance and infection prevention.
• Mentor graduate: Mentor graduate nurses and lead transplant clinical quality audits.

Required Qualifications, Licenses & Experience

To be successful in this position at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital (RPA), candidates are expected to satisfy the following essential selection criteria:

• Mandatory Qualification: Bachelor of Nursing & Postgrad Certificate in Renal/Transplant Nursing.
• Relevant Experience: Minimum 5+ Years of verified industry experience in Australia or recognized overseas equivalence.
• Current unconditional registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse.
• Minimum 5 years acute clinical nursing with at least 3 years in transplant, renal, or hepatobiliary care.
• Postgraduate Certificate or Diploma in Transplant, Renal, or Critical Care Nursing.
• Demonstrated leadership, education, and patient advocacy capabilities.

• Competitive Remuneration: AU$104,000 – AU$120,000 per year + standard Australian Superannuation (11.5%).
• Salary package $104,000 – $120,000 + 11.5% superannuation + public health shift loading.
