G8 Education is seeking an experienced Centre Director in Hawthorn to lead a 90-place early learning service and drive National Quality Standards.

G8 Education is looking for a dynamic Early Childhood Centre Director to manage operations, educator leadership, and family relationships at our Hawthorn center.

As a key member of the team at G8 Education in Melbourne, VIC, you will play a central role in driving excellence, upholding top-tier Australian industry standards, and contributing directly to the strategic milestones of one of the nation’s premier employers.

Key Duties & Core Responsibilities

In this critical role, your operational duties and key performance responsibilities will encompass:

• Oversee day-to-day: Oversee day-to-day operations, child enrollments, and compliance with Education and Care Services National Law.
• Lead and: Lead and mentor a team of 20+ educators, fostering educational excellence and pedagogical reflection.
• Manage center: Manage center operational budgets, rosters, occupancy targets, and marketing campaigns.
• Partner with: Partner with families and local community organizations to support inclusive child development.

Required Qualifications, Licenses & Experience

To be successful in this position at G8 Education, candidates are expected to satisfy the following essential selection criteria:

• Mandatory Qualification: Bachelor or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care.
• Relevant Experience: Minimum 5+ Years of verified industry experience in Australia or recognized overseas equivalence.
• ACECQA approved Diploma or Bachelor Degree in Early Childhood Education.
• Minimum 3 years experience as a Centre Director / Nominated Supervisor.
• Demonstrated track record of achieving ‘Exceeding’ National Quality Standard ratings.

• Competitive Remuneration: AU$95,000 – AU$115,000 per year + standard Australian Superannuation (11.5%).
• Remuneration $95,000 – $115,000 + center performance incentive bonuses + super.
• 50% childcare fee discount across all G8 Education centers.
• Dedicated operations manager support and leadership development programs.
• Leave Entitlements: 4 weeks annual leave (with 17.5% annual leave loading where applicable) plus 10 days paid personal/carer’s leave.
