Linfox is seeking an inspiring National HSE Logistics Director to lead health, safety, and environmental strategy from our headquarters in Dandenong South, Melbourne. You will govern safety systems for over 24,000 team members and contractors, overseeing fleet telematics, critical risk protocols, ICAM incident investigations, mental health programs, and statutory compliance with NHVR and state safety regulators.

As a key member of the team at Linfox in Melbourne, VIC, you will play a central role in driving excellence, upholding top-tier Australian industry standards, and contributing directly to the strategic milestones of one of the nation’s premier employers.

Key Duties & Core Responsibilities

In this critical role, your operational duties and key performance responsibilities will encompass:

• Lead national: Lead national execution of Linfox’s Vision Zero safety culture across warehousing and transport business units.
• Oversee Heavy: Oversee Heavy Vehicle National Law (HVNL) Chain of Responsibility compliance and safety management systems (SMS).
• Leverage in-cabin: Leverage in-cabin AI driver cameras (Seeing Machines / Guardian) to proactively eliminate fatigue and distraction events.
• Lead major: Lead major incident investigations utilizing ICAM methodologies and present systemic root causes to the Board.
• Direct workers’: Direct workers’ compensation strategies, return-to-work rehabilitation, and employee wellbeing initiatives.

Required Qualifications, Licenses & Experience

To be successful in this position at Linfox, candidates are expected to satisfy the following essential selection criteria:

• Mandatory Qualification: Degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Risk Management, or Environmental Science + Chartered OHS Professional.
• Relevant Experience: Minimum 10+ Years of verified industry experience in Australia or recognized overseas equivalence.
• 10+ years of senior executive HSE leadership experience in large-scale road transport, logistics, or industrial supply chains.
• Deep understanding of Heavy Vehicle National Law, CoR legal accountability, and national WHS acts.
• Certified OHS Professional (Australian Institute of Health & Safety) or relevant postgraduate degree.
• Exceptional stakeholder influence, inspirational frontline communication, and executive presence.

• Competitive Remuneration: AU$190,000 – AU$230,000 per year + standard Australian Superannuation (11.5%).
