Lead total branch P&L profitability, sales development, and global air/ocean freight forwarding operations at Mainfreight Welshpool, Perth.

Mainfreight Australia is looking for an entrepreneurial Branch Freight & International Forwarding General Manager to lead our Welshpool branch in Perth. Immersed in Mainfreight’s unique culture of promotion from within and autonomous branch ownership, you will lead sales, customer partnerships, customs clearance, and global air and sea freight logistics, sharing directly in branch profits.

As a key member of the team at Mainfreight Australia in Perth, WA, you will play a central role in driving excellence, upholding top-tier Australian industry standards, and contributing directly to the strategic milestones of one of the nation’s premier employers.

Key Duties & Core Responsibilities

In this critical role, your operational duties and key performance responsibilities will encompass:

• Hold complete: Hold complete commercial, financial, and operational accountability for the Perth freight forwarding branch P&L.
• Drive aggressive: Drive aggressive business development, securing lucrative import/export freight forwarding accounts.
• Direct air: Direct air freight and ocean container operations, shipping line negotiations, and customs brokerage.
• Lead, develop,: Lead, develop, and inspire a tight-knit team of freight operators, customer service reps, and sales executives.
• Champion Mainfreight’s: Champion Mainfreight’s unique 100-year vision, family culture, and zero-defect customer service philosophy.

Required Qualifications, Licenses & Experience

To be successful in this position at Mainfreight Australia, candidates are expected to satisfy the following essential selection criteria:

• Mandatory Qualification: Degree in International Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or Commerce.
• Relevant Experience: Minimum 8+ Years of verified industry experience in Australia or recognized overseas equivalence.
• 8+ years of freight forwarding experience with demonstrated branch leadership or senior commercial management.
• Proven track record in client acquisition, rate negotiation with shipping lines/airlines, and P&L optimization.
• Exceptional interpersonal charisma, commercial hunger, and passionate leadership style.
• Degree in Business, Commerce, Logistics, or International Trade.

At Mainfreight Australia, we understand that our people drive our achievements. An outstanding remuneration and wellbeing package is provided in line with Australian benchmarks:

• Competitive Remuneration: AU$160,000 – AU$195,000 per year + standard Australian Superannuation (11.5%).
• Remuneration $160,000 – $195,000 + uncapped Mainfreight branch profit-share bonus scheme.
