Lead 24/7 warehouse logistics, automated picking systems, and transport dispatch for Woolworths Group’s high-velocity distribution centre in Sydney.

Woolworths Group is hiring an accomplished Senior Supply Chain Operations Manager to direct daily operations at our flagship automated distribution centre in Eastern Creek, Sydney. You will manage a large multidisciplinary operations team, oversee automated storage and retrieval systems (ASRS) and autonomous guided vehicles (AGVs), drive continuous improvement (Lean/Six Sigma), and guarantee delivery to over 300 supermarkets.

Key Duties & Core Responsibilities

In this critical role, your operational duties and key performance responsibilities will encompass:

• Lead 24/7: Lead 24/7 warehouse operations across receiving, automated picking, sorting, and outbound dispatch.
• Oversee high-tech: Oversee high-tech warehouse automation including automated crane storage (ASRS) and AGV robotic fleets.
• Optimize inventory: Optimize inventory throughput, order fulfillment accuracy, and dispatch truck turn-around times.
• Drive an: Drive an uncompromising workplace health, safety, and wellbeing culture across all shift rotations.
• Manage site: Manage site operational budget, labor planning models, and contractor service level agreements.

Required Qualifications, Licenses & Experience

To be successful in this position at Woolworths Group, candidates are expected to satisfy the following essential selection criteria:

• Mandatory Qualification: Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Industrial Engineering or Business Management.
• Relevant Experience: Minimum 7+ Years of verified industry experience in Australia or recognized overseas equivalence.
• 7+ years of supply chain or distribution centre management experience, with at least 3 years in a highly automated facility.
• Demonstrated proficiency with enterprise Warehouse Management Systems (Manhattan, SAP EWM, or JDA).
• Strong people leadership capability, inspiring safety, inclusion, and high operational performance.
• Degree in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, or Business Management.

• Competitive Remuneration: AU$150,000 – AU$180,000 per year + standard Australian Superannuation (11.5%).
