Technical Domain: Hyperscale Cloud Architecture & Frontier AI Integration

Key Responsibilities & Scope of Work
In this capacity, your daily priorities and core technical contributions will center on the following key operational deliverables:
- Lead the hardware manufacturing of products/program/s through the different phases of the product lifecycle.
- Strategically specifies and evaluates dimensions and process requirements to enhance production line quality and efficiency, develops capabilities for end-to-end manufacturing, drives lean manufacturing, investigates trends, and proactively mitigates production risks.
- Manage multiple Cloud hardware programs with a goal of ensuring Microsoft’s hardware is manufactured at the highest levels of Q&R, safety and sustainability standards.
- Lead a cross functional team within the Manufacturing team in a fast pace and complex environment to ensure partner site readiness, identify and manage build risks, drive for mitigations and lead manufacturing gate reviews. Able to leverage experience and engineering skills to solve problems, fill gaps and achieve objectives through a cross functional team.
- Maintain manufacturing relationships and operations excellence with external partners and suppliers.
- Oversees the standardization of manufacturing processes across supplier sites, drives continuous improvement, ensures supplier performance compliance, and implements dashboards for operational efficiency.
- Defines modeling techniques and projection models to optimize production capacity and resources, leads failure analysis methodologies, and reviews specifications for compatibility. Leads efforts to resolve systemic issues, influence technology investments with suppliers, and develops risk mitigation plans.
- Maintain rigorous code quality, comprehensive automated test coverage, and security compliance throughout all phases of software delivery.
- Participate actively in technical design reviews, operational post-mortems, and architectural discussions across global engineering cohorts.
Candidate Profile & Experience Requirements
Candidates for the Senior Manufacturing Engineer position are evaluated based on their practical experience, technical depth, and demonstrated track record of problem-solving:
- Professional Background: Minimum of 5 years (60 months) of verified experience directly relevant to manufacturing engineering or related technical specializations.
- Bachelor’s Degree in engineering: Electrical, Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering, or any related engineering degree.
- 5+ years experience in a manufacturing environment /repair OR equivalent experience.
- Engineering experience in designing and/or manufacturing the parts and assemblies used in datacenter hardware. Additional experience and knowledge in the server industry product development process will be significantly advantageous.
- Technical Competence: Demonstrated mastery of programming environments, distributed systems, modern cloud infrastructure, or specialized analytical methodologies relevant to the domain.
- Cross-Functional Leadership: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with an established ability to articulate complex technical architectures clearly to engineering peers and executive stakeholders.
