Description
Microsoft Corporation is actively seeking an exceptional professional to join our organization as a Principal Product Manager, Content Product within the Product Management division. Positioned at the core of Microsoft’s technological innovation, this role offers direct involvement in mission-critical engineering initiatives, planetary-scale cloud services, and next-generation product architectures.
Role Overview & Strategic Impact
As a Principal Product Manager, Content Product based in Mountain View, California, United States, you will play an integral role in architecting, engineering, and delivering transformative technology solutions. Operating within Microsoft’s Product Management practice, your efforts will directly shape the scalability, performance, and security of software systems and platforms trusted by billions of users worldwide.
Microsoft’s enduring mission is to empower every person and every organization on the planet to achieve more. Team members thrive within an inclusive culture grounded in a growth mindset, cross-team empathy, and uncompromising customer focus. In this position, you will collaborate with industry-leading engineers, researchers, and product leaders to solve complex technical problems at unprecedented scale.
Technical Domain: Enterprise Platforms, Dynamics 365 & Copilot Workflows
Microsoft’s Enterprise product teams develop business-critical SaaS solutions that transform how global organizations engage customers, streamline operational supply chains, and empower workforces. Leading platforms such as Dynamics 365 Contact Center and Microsoft Copilot Studio integrate conversational intelligence, automated workflow orchestration, and enterprise compliance. Leaders in this discipline align product roadmaps with customer telemetry, driving high-impact software experiences that solve complex enterprise challenges.
Professionals in this specialization combine strong computer science fundamentals with practical, real-world systems engineering. Whether delivering distributed microservices, designing custom silicon interconnects, managing physical datacenter infrastructure, or scaling AI-powered customer workflows, you will operate within a mature engineering ecosystem supported by Microsoft’s global technical community.
Key Responsibilities & Scope of Work
In this capacity, your daily priorities and core technical contributions will center on the following key operational deliverables:
- Own the vision and strategy for new content intelligence products, identifying unmet customer needs and technology shifts that can define our next product categories.
- Build enterprise content intelligence as the first product focus, including personalized company and industry briefings, watchlists, and experiences that explain what changed, why it matters, and what a user can do next.
- Translate capabilities across user understanding, knowledge graphs, content agents, ranking, quality, and interactive components into coherent, reusable product systems that can serve multiple Microsoft canvases.
- Lead rapid customer discovery, prototyping, and experimentation to find product-market fit, separate durable value from novelty, and earn the right to scale.
- Partner deeply with design, engineering, applied science, editorial, and canvas product teams to integrate new products into Edge, Windows, MSN, and Copilot without duplicating existing ownership.
- Establish clear success criteria, use evidence to decide what to advance, refine, or stop, and transition proven experiences to the teams best positioned to operate them at scale.
- Act as a force multiplier for the product organization by raising the bar for zero-to-one product thinking, mentoring PMs, and influencing senior leaders across organizational boundaries.
- Maintain rigorous code quality, comprehensive automated test coverage, and security compliance throughout all phases of software delivery.
- Participate actively in technical design reviews, operational post-mortems, and architectural discussions across global engineering cohorts.

Candidates for the Principal Product Manager, Content Product position are evaluated based on their practical experience, technical depth, and demonstrated track record of problem-solving:
