Key Responsibilities & Operational Scope
- Work on designing and delivering automation solutions that support our database platforms and cloud services such as AWS RDS and Aurora.
- Deploy specialized programming expertise in Python, Java, Ansible, and PowerShell to streamline workflows, enhance reliability, and resolve complex engineering challenges.
- Execute and drive collaborate with global engineering teams across the UK, US, and Asia/ANZ as part of an on‑call rotation, contributing to an Agile or DevOps environment focused on building scalable and efficient solutions.
Candidate Profile & Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of engineering experience with exposure to database technologies and automation.
- Programming skills (e.g., Python, Java, Ansible, PowerShell) and ability to troubleshoot complex automation issues.
- Good understanding of database concepts, TSQL and automation of database processes/workflows and hands‑on experience with cloud database platforms (e.g., AWS RDS, Aurora) and supporting automation that uses AWS services (e.g., EC2, Lambda, SNS).
- Comfort with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Grafana, Prometheus, Splunk) and version control systems (e.g., Bitbucket, GitHub).
- Customer focus, communication skills, and ability to work independently in a global, agile environment.
