The Risk Management Group provides an independent, objective oversight function that advises business units on managing credit, market, regulatory, and operational risks across global transactions. Key Responsibilities & Operational Scope
- In your role as a Data Analyst, you will be the main point of contact with helping translate business requirements into technical data solutions on strategic programs, ensuring these capabilities are within strategic guardrails and aligned to our Group wide business and technology objectives.
- Execute and drive collaborate with business stakeholders and work closely with cross-functional teams to understand their needs and solicit data insights utilising our technologies to extract, manipulate, and analyse data from various sources.
- In addition, define and deliver on data solution designs and create conceptual and logical data models to facilitate technical developments and enhancements to the organization’s data ecosystem.
- Additionally use your strong understanding of financial markets, products and its lifecycle events to help the gap between surveillance risk processes and how data plays a role into those processes.
Candidate Profile & Required Qualifications
- 2-4+ years’ of experience working as a business/data/technical analyst ideally within Banking and Financial services or a Consulting firm.
- Experience with leading the requirements gathering, data analysis and data design which may include process mapping and adhering to risk management principles.
- Experienced working with data platforms and analytical technologies such as Starbust Presto, Alteryx and Dataiku.
- SQL skills to extract the data and perform data analysis is advantageous.
- Communication skills, with the ability to manage stakeholder relationships.
- Strategic mindset and ability to communicate a technical vision driven by business concepts.
- Good knowledge and understanding of financial products, trading or market data platforms would be beneficial.
- Prior experience working in a Fraud or Trade Surveillance environment within financial services would be advantageous.
