Key Responsibilities & Operational Scope

• As the People & Culture Divisional Data Officer, you will lead data governance across People & Culture, providing independent oversight and guidance to strengthen how data is owned, managed and used.
• Interface strategically with stakeholders across business, technology and risk teams to embed effective governance practices, support key data management initiatives, and ensure critical data is governed in line with enterprise standards and risk requirements.
• Your work will help build confidence in data-driven decision-making while supporting the delivery of strategic business outcomes.

Candidate Profile & Required Qualifications

• Extensive experience in data governance, data management or data risk within a large and complex organisation, with the ability to influence stakeholders and drive governance outcomes.
• Understanding of data governance frameworks, metadata management, data quality, data lineage and data ownership, with experience using data governance tools such as Collibra.
• Knowledge of end-to-end data processes, including data ingestion, cloud-based data platforms, data warehouses, reporting, analytics and emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence and automation.
• Experience partnering with senior stakeholders across business, technology and risk functions, providing constructive challenge and supporting effective risk management and decision-making.
• Excellent communication, facilitation and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build data literacy, accountability and governance capability across a diverse organisation.
