Key Responsibilities & Scope of Work

In this capacity, your daily priorities and core technical contributions will center on the following key operational deliverables:

  • Accountable for Agentic AI & app platforms for all conversations by driving transformation of legacy app platforms using agentic & AI tools with Foundry, GitHub Copilot, Copilot Studio powered by Work IQ, Fabric IQ, Foundry IQ, Web IQ, secured & governed by Agent 365.
  • Provides strategic, technical, and partner input based on Microsoft capability at the account level to contribute to strategy development, leveraging partner, competitor, or open-source knowledge.
  • Architectural Depth (L300+): Agentic AI platform design & lifecycle mgmt.
  • Solution Depth (L400+): Foundry Models (AOAI + Anthropic, 1P MaaS), Foundry Services, Fabric IQ, Foundry IQ, Copilot Studio Platform, App Platform Svc, Container Svc, Serverless App Svc, Integration Svc, dev tools & languages
  • Consultative Selling — proactive, outcome-first, exec-level engagement, co-design
  • Compete knowledge – Demonstrates deep competitive expertise to position differentiated Azure value proposition
  • Monitors and responds to internal tech community posts, attends community calls, sessions, hackathons, etc., and acts as a mentor for their technology area.
  • Maintain rigorous code quality, comprehensive automated test coverage, and security compliance throughout all phases of software delivery.
  • Participate actively in technical design reviews, operational post-mortems, and architectural discussions across global engineering cohorts.

Candidate Profile & Experience Requirements

Candidates for the Cloud Solutions Engineer – AI & Apps position are evaluated based on their practical experience, technical depth, and demonstrated track record of problem-solving:

  • Professional Background: Minimum of 4 years (48 months) of verified experience directly relevant to solution engineering or related technical specializations.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or equivalent practical industry experience.
  • Minimum of 4 years of verified professional experience in software engineering, technical architecture, or enterprise technology operations.
  • Proven technical problem-solving capabilities, cross-team collaboration skills, and expertise with modern distributed systems or enterprise frameworks.
  • Technical Competence: Demonstrated mastery of programming environments, distributed systems, modern cloud infrastructure, or specialized analytical methodologies relevant to the domain.
