The Risk Management Group provides an independent, objective oversight function that advises business units on managing credit, market, regulatory, and operational risks across global transactions. In this role, the successful candidate will work alongside seasoned industry professionals to optimize mission-critical processes, manage risk effectively, and deliver commercially impactful solutions across key markets.
Opportunity Overview & Quick Facts
Key Responsibilities & Operational Scope
- Actively advance and support a sophisticated credit risk management function within Equity Finance to safeguard and support the growth of the synthetic equity and securities financing business.
- Execute and drive help implement the credit risk strategy within a high-performing team.
- Monitoring and reporting credit risk exposures and margin adequacy across client portfolios and performing detailed credit analyses, assessing and mitigating credit risks associated primarily with our hedge fund clients.
- Execute and drive engage with external clients and counterparties, including senior contacts such as CIOs, COOs and Heads of Risk.
- Partner directly with our Credit Risk team to support recommendations for onboarding, credit limits and margining agreements as well as act as a key point of contact for credit related matters with clients, counterparties and internal stakeholders.
Candidate Profile & Required Qualifications
- 3+ years’ experience in a credit or market risk role, including exposure to the hedge fund client business and knowledge of equity swap and SFT products.
- Analytical skills in credit risk modelling, stress testing and scenario analysis.
- Python (or similar) coding skills to develop reporting and analytics.
- Familiarity with industry best credit practices across hedge fund reporting, margining and portfolio monitoring.
- Understanding of credit risk regulatory frameworks.
- Excellent communication skills for effective engagement with clients and internal stakeholders.
