Key Responsibilities & Operational Scope
- Drive the team's technical roadmap in alignment with organisational strategy and setting technical aspirations.
- Execute and drive architect and oversee scalable, resilient, and secure systems while championing engineering best practices and coding standards.
- Execute and drive mentor engineers to foster growth and technical excellence, exemplified through code reviews, advocate for system and process improvements and leverage new technologies, especially in AI.
- Execute and drive collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions and influence decisions and ensure system reliability, security, and compliance with regulations as well as managing incidents and promoting continuous improvement.
Candidate Profile & Required Qualifications
- Experience as an engineering tech leader with a deep understanding of building highly scalable, secure, and resilient systems within a fast-paced environment.
- Engineering capability, deep understanding of software design, architecture and modern software development practices.
- Track record of designing, building, and operating complex, high-performance systems at scale, ideally within a fast-paced organisation, ability to anticipate extensibility and scale into solutions.
- Ability to lead and inspire high-performing engineering teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and technical excellence.
- Ability to translate business needs into scalable technical solutions while understanding and anticipating extensibility into solutions.
