Key Duties & Core Responsibilities

As the React Native Application Developer at Deputy, your primary operational responsibilities and strategic deliverables will include:

• Strategic Execution: Design, architect, and deliver scalable, high-performance digital solutions and user experiences aligned with strategic Australian and global business goals.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams comprising product managers, software engineers, UX researchers, and enterprise stakeholders.
• Quality & Standards: Develop, maintain, and evolve design systems, codebases, or technical architecture frameworks with strict adherence to industry best practices.
• Process Optimization: Conduct thorough usability testing, code reviews, quality assurance inspections, and performance optimizations across digital platforms.
• Reporting & Compliance: Translate complex user feedback and quantitative product telemetry into intuitive, accessible, and high-impact digital solutions.
• Continuous Improvement: Champion modern Agile workflows, sprint ceremonies, continuous integration, and rapid delivery cycles with predictable velocity.
• Team Leadership & Support: Ensure compliance with Australian cybersecurity standards, Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.1 AA), and data governance.

Candidate Skills, Experience & Qualifications

To succeed in this role and make an immediate impact within our team, we are seeking candidates who possess the following background, qualifications, and personal attributes:

• Formal Qualifications: Tertiary qualification in Computer Science, Interaction Design, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or demonstrable equivalent experience.
• Industry Experience: Demonstrated track record of delivering commercial software, digital products, or technical solutions within modern enterprise environments.
• Technical Competence: Proficiency with modern tools, frameworks, and workflows relevant to the domain (e.g. Figma, React, Python, Cloud Platforms, Git).
• Certifications & Compliance: Strong analytical problem-solving skills with a keen eye for aesthetics, system ergonomics, and operational scalability.
• Problem Solving & Adaptability: Excellent interpersonal communication abilities to present concepts persuasively to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Interpersonal Excellence: Commitment to lifelong learning, mentoring emerging team members, and staying abreast of evolving industry trends.

Remuneration Package, Workplace Benefits & Culture

Deputy believes in recognizing and rewarding exceptional talent. In addition to a highly competitive remuneration package of AU$135,000 – AU$165,000 per annum + 11.5% statutory Superannuation, the successful applicant will enjoy:
