Key Responsibilities & Operational Scope

  • Supervise and coordinate and execute the independent valuation process for energy products, including price verification, benchmark reviews, and fair value adjustments.
  • Execute and drive help develop valuation methodologies and control frameworks, assess valuation risks, and provide reporting and analysis that supports informed decision making.
  • Partner directly with teams across trading, risk, finance, research, and model review to strengthen valuation processes and drive continuous improvement.
  • While the firm offers hybrid working for many of our roles, this role does require 4 days a week in our Houston office location.

Candidate Profile & Required Qualifications

  • 15+ years' of valuation experience, ideally within the energy sector, background in finance, accounting, economics.
  • Understanding of valuation techniques, financial instruments, and energy related derivative products.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and data analysis tools, with the ability to solve complex analytical problems.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for working with cross functional teams.
  • Knowledge of relevant accounting standards (US GAAP, IFRS) and regulatory requirements.
