Description

Microsoft Corporation is actively seeking an exceptional professional to join our organization as a Senior Technical Program Manager-Readiness Assessment & OEM Quality within the Technical Program Management division. Positioned at the core of Microsoft’s technological innovation, this role offers direct involvement in mission-critical engineering initiatives, planetary-scale cloud services, and next-generation product architectures.

Role Overview & Strategic Impact

As a Senior Technical Program Manager-Readiness Assessment & OEM Quality based in Redmond, Washington, United States, you will play an integral role in architecting, engineering, and delivering transformative technology solutions. Operating within Microsoft’s Technical Program Management practice, your efforts will directly shape the scalability, performance, and security of software systems and platforms trusted by billions of users worldwide.

Microsoft’s enduring mission is to empower every person and every organization on the planet to achieve more. Team members thrive within an inclusive culture grounded in a growth mindset, cross-team empathy, and uncompromising customer focus. In this position, you will collaborate with industry-leading engineers, researchers, and product leaders to solve complex technical problems at unprecedented scale.

Technical Domain: Enterprise Platforms, Dynamics 365 & Copilot Workflows

Microsoft’s Enterprise product teams develop business-critical SaaS solutions that transform how global organizations engage customers, streamline operational supply chains, and empower workforces. Leading platforms such as Dynamics 365 Contact Center and Microsoft Copilot Studio integrate conversational intelligence, automated workflow orchestration, and enterprise compliance. Leaders in this discipline align product roadmaps with customer telemetry, driving high-impact software experiences that solve complex enterprise challenges.

Professionals in this specialization combine strong computer science fundamentals with practical, real-world systems engineering. Whether delivering distributed microservices, designing custom silicon interconnects, managing physical datacenter infrastructure, or scaling AI-powered customer workflows, you will operate within a mature engineering ecosystem supported by Microsoft’s global technical community.

Key Responsibilities & Scope of Work

In this capacity, your daily priorities and core technical contributions will center on the following key operational deliverables:

  • Lead the end-to-end operating model for a portfolio of strategic OEM device readiness initiatives, from intake and scenario definition through OEM self-assessment, Microsoft Readiness Assessment, SelfHost entrance, release milestones, and post-launch learning.
  • Build and maintain integrated plans across OEM and silicon schedules, device availability, hardware and software configurations, BIOS, firmware, drivers, lab capacity, assessment criteria, remediation work, and decision gates.
  • Build trusted partnerships across HDE and HDV program teams, OEM and silicon partners, Windows engineering, quality and lab teams, data teams, and business stakeholders. Establish clear roles, handoffs, decision rights, expectations, and escalation paths.
  • Drive portfolio prioritization and manage competing requests by evaluating customer and business impact, technical risk, capacity, and schedule implications. Make tradeoffs visible and establish clear ownership and recommended actions.
  • Establish scalable readiness governance, including portfolio and milestone reviews, risk and dependency management, decision records, and exceptions. Ensure material risks and dependencies have clear ownership, next steps, and escalation paths.
  • Facilitate readiness and launch decisions using defined criteria, quality signals, telemetry, and available evidence. Clearly communicate evidence confidence, remaining risks, exceptions, and recommendations to technical and executive audiences.
  • Define and improve portfolio metrics that measure readiness, evidence completeness, turnaround time, partner responsiveness, and operational effectiveness. Partner with data owners to maintain clear metric definitions and data provenance.
  • Maintain rigorous code quality, comprehensive automated test coverage, and security compliance throughout all phases of software delivery.
  • Participate actively in technical design reviews, operational post-mortems, and architectural discussions across global engineering cohorts.
