Macquarie Group is currently accepting applications for the role of Full Stack Java Engineer, based out of their corporate offices in Manila, Philippines. The Risk Management Group provides an independent, objective oversight function that advises business units on managing credit, market, regulatory, and operational risks across global transactions. In this role, the successful candidate will work alongside seasoned industry professionals to optimize mission-critical processes, manage risk effectively, and deliver commercially impactful solutions across key markets.
Opportunity Overview & Quick Facts
Key Responsibilities & Operational Scope
- Execute and drive deliver and support both in-house and third-party systems, as well as craft solutions that ensure a smooth integration with other systems.
- Execute and drive be involved in the design, development and testing of new or enhanced components, conducting peer code reviews and documenting technical specifications and product details.
- In addition, you will focus on operational support and quick issue resolution.
Candidate Profile & Required Qualifications
- 2 years of experience in software development with solid skills in engineering full stack solutions.
- Experience in Core and Enterprise JAVA (1.8 preferred), RDBMS, Spring frameworks, SQL, JPA and Hibernate.
- Experience in Cloud technologies (AWS, OpenStack, etc.) and Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery environment and platforms.
- Knowledge of good database design and optimised queries, RESTful APIs and Microservices architecture and basic UNIX scripting.
- Exposure to modern UI frameworks (React/Angular).
- Interest or experience in Python, or AI tools and Prompt Engineering.
- Experience with any of the following is an advantage:.
- Testing frameworks such as Cucumber, Robot Framework, Playwright, Selenium and JMeter.
- Working in an Agile or SAFe Agile development environment.
