The Risk Management Group provides an independent, objective oversight function that advises business units on managing credit, market, regulatory, and operational risks across global transactions. In this role, the successful candidate will work alongside seasoned industry professionals to optimize mission-critical processes, manage risk effectively, and deliver commercially impactful solutions across key markets.

Key Responsibilities & Operational Scope
- Conduct detailed assessments and investigations of potential financial crime risks, analyse complex information, and document outcomes to support informed decision-making.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to you will provide recommendations that help strengthen controls, mitigate risk, and ensure compliance with regulatory obligations while contributing to a robust and proactive risk management culture.
- Supervise and coordinate the review of adverse media, sanctions, and Politically Exposed Persons alerts escalated by first-line monitoring teams, ensuring adherence to established procedures and high-quality decision-making standards.
- Execute and drive conduct secondary reviews and investigations of alerts generated through transaction monitoring systems, analysing unusual or potentially suspicious activities and supporting suspicious matter reporting where required.
- Performing enhanced due diligence on high-risk customers and counterparties, identifying and assessing financial crime risks and ensuring appropriate risk mitigation measures are applied will be key responsibilities.
- Execute and drive maintain and enhance Financial Intelligence Unit procedures by contributing to initiatives and projects that improve operational efficiency and effectiveness, and proactively identify, assess, and escalate emerging risks and issues to management in a timely manner.
- In addition, you will support the training, coaching and development of analysts through peer reviews, quality assurance activities, and knowledge sharing, as well as monitor the quality and timeliness of alert assessments, provide ongoing feedback and coaching to team members, and escalate performance or process concerns to team leaders as appropriate to promote continuous improvement and maintain regulatory compliance.
Candidate Profile & Required Qualifications
- Experience in and familiarity with key Financial Crime Risk concepts and processes, such as financial crime, market surveillance, KYC processes, Enhanced Due Diligence, transaction monitoring and investigations within a financial services institution is an advantage.
- Analytical and risk assessment capabilities, with the ability to work effectively within a global team.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with confidence in interacting with stakeholders at all levels and responding to feedback.
- Self-motivated, detailed oriented and well-organised with the ability to prioritise workflows and meet deadlines.
- High level of integrity and confidentiality, ensuring trust and professionalism in all tasks.
