Key Responsibilities & Operational Scope
- We are looking for an experienced SAP Functional Engineer with hands-on experience configuring payments within SAP Banking Services.
- Experience with SAP Transactional Banking (TRBK) will be an added bonus and highly regarded.
- You'll take end-to-end ownership of your work in a modern Agile DevOps culture.
- Execute and drive work within and across teams to configure and enhance SAP Banking Services, ensuring the platform continues to deliver against our Digital Banking aspirations.
Candidate Profile & Required Qualifications
- Hands-on functional experience with SAP Banking Services, including the ability to analyse, design, configure and deliver SAP solutions.
- Experience in payments and payment processing, with a strong understanding of payment flows, transaction processing and the configuration required to support payment capabilities within SAP Banking Services.
- Experience working with key SAP Banking Services concepts and configuration, with the ability to understand end-to-end processing and the impact of changes across products, accounts, transactions and downstream systems.
- Analytical and troubleshooting skills, including the ability to investigate complex functional and production issues, perform root cause analysis, interpret system behaviour and develop sustainable solutions.
- Experience taking solutions through the full delivery lifecycle, including requirements analysis, functional design, configuration, testing, defect resolution, implementation and post-production support.
- Ability to produce clear functional specifications and solution designs and work closely with technical engineers and integration teams where development or integration changes are required.
- Understanding of integration patterns and interfaces between SAP Banking Services and surrounding banking systems, including payment platforms, APIs, messaging and event-based integration.
- Experience working in an Agile and DevOps engineering environment, taking ownership of outcomes rather than working solely within a traditional functional consultant model.
- Communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to work effectively with engineers, architects, product teams and business stakeholders and challenge requirements where appropriate.
- Experience with SAP Transactional Banking (TRBK) is highly regarded, particularly hands-on configuration or delivery experience.
