The Risk Management Group provides an independent, objective oversight function that advises business units on managing credit, market, regulatory, and operational risks across global transactions. In this role, the successful candidate will work alongside seasoned industry professionals to optimize mission-critical processes, manage risk effectively, and deliver commercially impactful solutions across key markets.
Opportunity Overview & Quick Facts
Key Responsibilities & Operational Scope
- Oversee and administer the credit risk of a diverse portfolio of counterparties operating across the Energy sector.
- Execute and drive conduct in-depth quantitative and qualitative credit assessments, prepare detailed written analysis and recommendations, set internal ratings, propose credit limits and participate in the annual portfolio credit review process.
- Additionally collaborate with the front office and other stakeholders and provide review and risk based recommendations on new transactions and structures.
Candidate Profile & Required Qualifications
- 3-5 years in Credit Risk, Energy or related roles and a bachelor's degree in finance, math/engineering or related studies.
- Foundation in financial analysis, with an understanding of evaluating financial statements to determine creditworthiness.
- Sounds judgement in identifying and evaluate key risks in structured transactions and anticipating potential challenges.
- An ability to communicate effectively at all levels with risk colleagues and front office internal stakeholders.
- Familiarity with both financial and physical commodity products.
- Experience in the energy sector, including upstream financing, power, gas and oil is beneficial although not essential.
