Key Duties & Core Responsibilities

As the Academic Skills & Student Success Advisor at Monash University, your primary operational responsibilities and strategic deliverables will include:

• Strategic Execution: Plan, design, and implement engaging, curriculum-aligned learning programs tailored to diverse developmental and educational needs.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Create inclusive, nurturing, and safe learning environments that promote student curiosity, resilience, and academic growth.
• Quality & Standards: Assess student progress continuously, providing constructive formative feedback and differentiated instructional support.
• Process Optimization: Maintain precise developmental records and regulatory compliance documentation in accordance with Australian educational frameworks (e.g. EYLF / NQS / ACARA).
• Reporting & Compliance: Build strong, collaborative partnerships with families, guardians, and support specialists to optimize educational outcomes.
• Continuous Improvement: Participate actively in staff meetings, professional learning communities, and curriculum enhancement workshops.
• Team Leadership & Support: Uphold mandatory reporting obligations, child safety standards, and school community wellbeing guidelines.

Candidate Skills, Experience & Qualifications

To succeed in this role and make an immediate impact within our team, we are seeking candidates who possess the following background, qualifications, and personal attributes:

• Formal Qualifications: Bachelor of Education, Early Childhood Teaching, or relevant ACECQA/NESA approved teaching qualification.
• Industry Experience: Current state teacher registration or relevant vocational trainer credentials (e.g. Certificate IV in Training & Assessment TAE40116/TAE40122).
• Technical Competence: Current Working with Children Check (WWCC) and Australian First Aid / CPR / Anaphylaxis certifications.
• Certifications & Compliance: Demonstrated pedagogical knowledge, differentiated teaching strategies, and positive behavior management techniques.
• Problem Solving & Adaptability: Warm, enthusiastic communication style with a genuine passion for guiding students toward their full potential.
• Interpersonal Excellence: Strong organizational competence and proficiency with modern digital educational platforms and reporting tools.

Remuneration Package, Workplace Benefits & Culture

Monash University believes in recognizing and rewarding exceptional talent. In addition to a highly competitive remuneration package of AU$90,000 – AU$110,000 per annum + 11.5% statutory Superannuation, the successful applicant will enjoy:
