Lead statistical demand forecasting, sales and operations planning (S&OP), and inventory optimization for iconic brands including Supercheap Auto and rebel.
Super Retail Group is seeking an experienced Senior Inventory Optimization & Demand Planner to join our Group Supply Chain team in Lawnton, North Brisbane. You will take ownership of demand forecasting models across thousands of SKUs, leading the monthly S&OP consensus process with category buyers, optimizing safety stock parameters, and preventing stock-outs during peak retail campaigns.

Key Duties & Core Responsibilities
In this critical role, your operational duties and key performance responsibilities will encompass:
- Develop baseline: Develop baseline statistical demand forecasts using advanced planning engines (SAP IBP / Blue Yonder / JDA).
- Lead monthly: Lead monthly collaborative Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) consensus reviews with merchandise and finance leaders.
- Optimize multi-echelon: Optimize multi-echelon safety stock levels across national distribution centres and regional retail store hubs.
- Incorporate marketing: Incorporate marketing promotional uplifts, seasonal weather variations, and macroeconomic trends into forecast revisions.
- Monitor inventory: Monitor inventory health metrics including forecast accuracy (MAPE/WAPE), inventory turns, and obsolete stock write-downs.
Required Qualifications, Licenses & Experience
To be successful in this position at Super Retail Group, candidates are expected to satisfy the following essential selection criteria:
- Mandatory Qualification: Degree in Supply Chain, Data Analytics, Mathematics, Economics or Business.
- Relevant Experience: Minimum 5+ Years of verified industry experience in Australia or recognized overseas equivalence.
- 5+ years of dedicated demand planning, inventory optimization, or supply chain analytics experience in retail or FMCG.
- Demonstrated proficiency with enterprise demand planning software (SAP IBP, Blue Yonder, Manugistics, or Demantra).
- Strong quantitative mindset with advanced Excel and SQL data querying skills.
- Degree in Supply Chain, Data Analytics, Economics, or Business.

- Competitive Remuneration: AU$130,000 – AU$155,000 per year + standard Australian Superannuation (11.5%).
- Salary $130,000 – $155,000 + annual company incentive bonus + superannuation.
