Ensure reliable production delivery, flow assurance, and integrity management for deepwater offshore gas subsea production systems at Woodside.

Woodside Energy is seeking a Subsea Production Operations Specialist to join our Operations Excellence team at Mia Yellagonga, Perth. Supporting our world-class North West Shelf and Pluto offshore gas fields, you will oversee subsea control systems, subsea trees, manifolds, and flowlines, managing hydrate inhibition, slugging, and pigging operations to maximize offshore gas throughput.

As a key member of the team at Woodside Energy in Perth, WA, you will play a central role in driving excellence, upholding top-tier Australian industry standards, and contributing directly to the strategic milestones of one of the nation’s premier employers.

Key Duties & Core Responsibilities

In this critical role, your operational duties and key performance responsibilities will encompass:

• Monitor real-time: Monitor real-time subsea wellhead telemetry, downhole pressure gauges, and subsea control modules (SCMs).
• Perform transient: Perform transient multiphase flow assurance simulations utilizing OLGA software to manage hydrate risks and slugging.
• Coordinate underwater: Coordinate underwater ROV inspection campaigns and cathodic protection surveys for subsea pipelines.
• Manage chemical: Manage chemical injection programs (MEG, corrosion inhibitors, scale inhibitors) to maintain flowline integrity.
• Lead troubleshooting: Lead troubleshooting for subsea umbilical electrical faults, hydraulic leaks, and valve actuator anomalies.

Required Qualifications, Licenses & Experience

To be successful in this position at Woodside Energy, candidates are expected to satisfy the following essential selection criteria:

• Mandatory Qualification: Degree in Petroleum Engineering, Subsea Engineering, Mechanical or Chemical Engineering.
• Relevant Experience: Minimum 6+ Years of verified industry experience in Australia or recognized overseas equivalence.
• 6+ years of offshore or subsea engineering experience within the oil and gas upstream production sector.
• Demonstrated competency in flow assurance modeling (OLGA) and subsea production controls.
• Degree in Petroleum, Subsea, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering.
• Strong communication skills and cross-functional collaboration with offshore asset operations.

• Competitive Remuneration: AU$175,000 – AU$210,000 per year + standard Australian Superannuation (11.5%).
